  Congrats to Stefan Ouellet, who at the LA'lloween Kegger used innovative green thinking of his usage of a milk container instead of a plastic cup!!

   Good news everyone!  The SEDRD is working with WWF Canada to make the L.A more green concienscious and students that are incorporating more Green into our diet!

 Monthly Green Champion Contest -

1.       To enter, the nominee must be a member of The Good Life (sign up at wwf.ca)

2.       There will be a monthly contest winner from November 2008 until March 2009

3.       Winners will be chosen based on how they have inspired others to be more green, and how their positive action is making a difference (no matter how small that difference may seem!)

4.       Winners will be chosen  at the beginning of the  month, and featured on the Green Wall for the rest of the year (eg. November’s winner will be chosen during the first week of November, and put up shortly after)

5.       Winners will receive a $20 gift card to a local store in Guelph that supports the principles of sustainability (eg. The Book Shelf, Red Brick Café, etc.)

6.       Each winner will have their picture taken and a short write up about why they won!

Green Poster Contest-

Submit your ideas for green signage that gets people taking action!

1.       To enter, you must be a member of The Good Life- sign up at wwf.ca

2.       Keep the message positive and  fun (and appropriate!) to ensure that your entry wins.

3.       Entries are due November 15^th

4.       Your submission can be a poster up to 11X17 (Tabloid) size

5.       Entries can be submitted in paper, or electronically- put your paper entry in Maurice’s mailbox, or send your electronic entry to Liisa at lmountai@uoguelph.ca

6.       The winning entry will be placed around the school in December, and will stay up until the end of January
